There are some tools that are so simple, yet they have a profound effect on your daily routine. Launchy is one of those tools. 
Launchy provides a simpler means of finding and accessing the applications you need and use every day (or even rarely), without having to remember where the shortcut is located. You just press Alt+Space to open the Launchy finder (shown in the screen shot) and start typing the name of what you are looking for. In most cases you will have what you are looking for in a letter or two, but you can also get a dropdown list of other available options.
Launchy also provides additional functionality such as a quick way to open a link in your browser or find weather information. It is also extensible using plugins. It is one of those applications that at first may seem a little odd or useless, but give it a week and you will find that you would not want to let go of it.
