If you know me, you know that I love Eclipse as both an IDE and a development platform; that’s not to say that I am one of those fanatical “YOU MUST USE [INSERT TECHNOLOGY NAME]!” freaks. I have always felt that you should use what works best for you and your development style. I don’t care if you develop using Vi or notepad as long as you get things done. Anyway, that’s not really what this post is about.
The Eclipse foundation opened up a new “Friends of Eclipse” program, where if you donate $35 or more you get access to a faster mirror and some super special images (badges) that you can put up on your site… marketing genius, and I went for it. You will notice the new image at the bottom of the left side bar. If figure that I use it enough and like it enough that I can send them a little monetary love since they don’t ask me for anywhere near the sums of cash that any commercial IDE would.
So now I have become a “Friend of Eclipse”, will someone please pass me the kool-aid, I am very thirsty. :-)
