Introduction

I collect (links to) software, both open source and commercial, though mostly open source. I really don’t like to pay for software that I can legally get free. What I have noticed over the years is that most people, developers and others, do not really know about most of the software options available out there. This section of my site exists to try and fill that knowledge void.

The Ultimate CD name comes from the thought that I would eventually create a CD or DVD of these software titles, the free ones anyway and provide it either as an ISO to download or via mail for the price of shipping and media; however, that is a bit off in the future… for now I will just start cataloging what I have.

As I said, I don’t really like to purchase software that I can get for free; however, sometimes there are no free options. Generally, if I am willing to pay for software, it is pretty good.
